Sesli Mobil Reklam Hizmeti – Türkiye’de İLK

Görsel reklamlar, videolu reklamlar, oyunlu reklamlar… Mobil uygulamalar için bahsi geçen bu reklam türlerinin hepsi mevcut, fakat sadece ses içeren ve uygulamanın herhangi bir noktasında kullanılabilecek bir reklam sistemi şu an için mevcut değildir. (Bu yazının yazıldığı tarihte yaptığım kısa araştırmaya göre Türkiye içerisinde mevcut değildi, gözden kaçırdıklarım olabilir.)

Bu alt yapı, böyle bir sistemin olmaması nedeniyle geliştirilmiş olup, Türkiye’de ilk kez iPhone üzerindeki RADYO uygulaması içerisinde kullanılacaktır. Her ne kadar bu ve benzeri fikirler ilk kez düşünülmüş olmasa da, şu an çalışır halde başka bir örneğe rastlanmamıştır.

Girişimciler ve/veya mevcut reklam şirketleri bu noktadan sonra bu tip bir sistemi de rutin toplantılarındaki maddelere eklemek isteyebilirler.

Bu duyurunun bir kaç sebebi vardır. Özellikle:

1. Potansiyel reklam verenleri bilgilendirmek.
2. Arşivde bu projeye ait bir şeylerin bulunmasını sağlamak.
3. Reklam ajanslarının bu türde reklamları da portfolyolarına eklemelerinin faydalı olabileceğini düşündürmek.

Radyo uygulaması içerisindeki çalışma şekli ve akla takılabilecek durumlar:

• Sesli Reklamların başlangıcında ve bitişinde özel bir müzik çalınır.
• Dinlenen kanalda zaten bir reklam oynuyorsa, Sesli Reklam etik sebeplerden dolayı devreye girmez.
• Dinlenen kanalda bir reklamın oynadığı tespit edilemediyse, mecburen kanal geçici olarak kapatılır ve reklamlardan sonra tekrar açılır. Bu noktada unutulmaması gereken, mevcut radyo kanalının yayınına müdahale yapılmadığıdır. RADYO uygulamasının verdiği “oynatıcı” hizmeti bir süre durdurularak, uygulamanın ücretsiz kalmasını sağlayacak reklamlara yer verilir.

Uygulamayı terketmeden, uygulama yükseltilerek, reklamlar devre dışı bırakılabilir.

Şu an kullanımda olan ücretli RADYO uygulamasının kullanımı göz önüne alındığında, ücretsiz sürümünün ulaşacağı kişi sayısı oldukça fazla olacaktır.  “Oldukça” kelimesi, yerini GERÇEK sayılara bırakacaktır: Radyo’nun ücretsiz sürümüyle beraber, istatistikleri her hafta  otomatik olarak duyurulacaktır.

iPhone Radyo application and Google App Engine

In the next version of my iPhone Radyo application, I have decided to add some cool new features those requires lots of horse power. I tried Google App Engine and I’m currently happy with it. Server side of these new features are being implemented with the nice language Ptyhon. I have not used Ptyhon before and i love to start to something new, learn it good enough to do what i want in a good way, do it and leave it. I love that this formula is still working for me (:

To make it short, some of the new features of iPhone Radyo (radio) Application will be powered by Google horse power.

Dropping support for iPhone OS2.x

This post/announcement is related to the projects i create for iPhone operating systems.

I have been supporting even OS2.0 for all of my applications. And starting with RADYO‘s new version, i’ll be dropping support for iPhone OS versions below 3.0. So current owners of iPhone RADYO who have OS 2.x will not be able to upgrade to the newest version.

- Usage statistics for last 3 months of my iPhone applications show that only %1.8 uses iPhone OS version 2.x

- Usage statistics for last month shows that only %1.2 uses iPhone OS version 2.x

I can consider 2.x as an old system (for myself) according to these numbers. iPhone OS’ new version is coming and also we’ll be using iPads. Both supporting OS 2.0 and adding new features takes more time both for testing and planning the project.

Under these circumstances continuing to give support for OS2.x is not feasible anymore.

Talih Kuşu and Radyo are still the number one in app store

I was not controlling the position of my “Talih Kuşu” iPhone application for a long time. Today i saw it’s icon at the first positino of Lifestyle category of app App Store. This encourages me to continue making applications without ruining their quality! Thank you all for your great support and evaluation. It’s great to see that more and more people start to see the engineering quality of the applications.

By the way, Radyo is still the number 1 paid application in the app store!

It’s good to see 2 of my applications are leading to the categories they are in.

Radyo,The App Store Winner of September

Radyo reached to the top of the App Store in the day it was published. It stayed as the number one in all paid applications list for 30 days and stayed in top 100 in some other countries. It’s still moving up and down in Top 10. Now the next BIG version of Radyo is coming. With the version 2.0, Radyo is not only for Turkish people and it doesn’t only include Turkey for the radio region. New interface languages including English and Deutsch ( expect more languages ) and selectable radio regions include United Kingdom, Germany, Sweden and more!
