An Old Draft for a Simple yet Effective Fan Site
Posted on January 19th, 2010 No commentsWhile digging into my archive i’ve found some old drafts for a fan site idea of *Nil Karaibrahimgil: On a january 2009 day (1 year ago), a quick and pure fan site idea forced me to prepare a draft that day. These drafts explain the basic functionality, ideas and content of the project rather than showing the design and the final stage of the page skeleton. This project has never ever been worked on it after that day. Today i’m exposing those drafts, so anyone may be inspired by them, since there is still no such project exists right now. If you use any of the ideas on the draft to build a new project for a specific person or for centralized new web2.0 project, please let me know that this post worked at least for one.
The key idea: A simple and pure site, which does not include any trace of social media or any popular services, that just lets the fans send messages/photos/audios to the person they are fan of and let the artist know of the site and follow it. Generally this happens in the other way.
*Nil Karaibrahimgil, as a Turkish singer and a musician, is well known with her creative works and ideas in music and media industry. You can visit her site at niltakipte.com or follow her from twitter where she frequently send updates.

Flash CS5 iPhone dream ( nightmare ? )
Posted on December 4th, 2009 No comments
However this is not a recent news, i wanted to note some facts on my blog too.First of all, it’d be good to note that i have been using/coding on flash since year 1998; which makes it 12 years of experience till today. It’s fullname was Macromedia Flash 3. So i’m not an enemy of the Flash, animation and actionscript.
Warning! Some of these sentences may tease you; read them calmly before shouting at me, there is an extra paragraph related to these teasing sentences (:
First of all, for those who are not aware of the topic: Adobe announced that, CS5 will have a feature to export Flash applications as iPhone applications. iPhone will continue to NOT support SWF files in anyway. There will not be (at the time of this post – not announced by Apple) a Flash plugin even for Safari for iPhone. Flash will convert your Flash project into native/somewhat compiled iPhone application. You (currently) will not be able to test it on your computer (iPhone simulator), you have to install it to your device to try it… Ofcourse you still have to be a certified Apple iPhone developer by paying $100 per year (at the time of this post).

Talih Kuşu and Radyo are still the number one in app store
Posted on November 16th, 2009 No commentsI was not controlling the position of my “Talih Kuşu” iPhone application for a long time. Today i saw it’s icon at the first positino of Lifestyle category of app App Store. This encourages me to continue making applications without ruining their quality! Thank you all for your great support and evaluation. It’s great to see that more and more people start to see the engineering quality of the applications.
By the way, Radyo is still the number 1 paid application in the app store!
It’s good to see 2 of my applications are leading to the categories they are in.
Radyo has it’s own site now and can be reached at http://iphoneradyo.com

Update on broadcasting live TV to iPhone
Posted on October 31st, 2009 No commentsAfter working on it for 2 days, i’ve completely managed to get it working.
You can watch all of the channels over the iPhone/iPod. TV can be watched at a perfect frame rate and free from jitters.
- From a dedicated video hardware
- From an existing stream over the network
- And VOD
I don’t understand why it takes so long for tv channels to take an action.
I’ve successfully live streamed many channels at once, including TRT1, ATV.
And For the Mobile World of the Turkey (Turkish Content)

Radyo,The App Store Winner of September
Posted on October 10th, 2009 No commentsRadyo reached to the top of the App Store in the day it was published. It stayed as the number one in all paid applications list for 30 days and stayed in top 100 in some other countries. It’s still moving up and down in Top 10. Now the next BIG version of Radyo is coming. With the version 2.0, Radyo is not only for Turkish people and it doesn’t only include Turkey for the radio region. New interface languages including English and Deutsch ( expect more languages ) and selectable radio regions include United Kingdom, Germany, Sweden and more!
For those who can’t (don’t want to) pay for the application and who are curious about the new version, we have a demo video:
You can watch it from
